CHEHALIS – Centralia and W.F. West High School students shared their wide breadth of knowledge and interests in making the community that they live a better place for all at Monday’s 2022 Rob Fuller Top 25 Scholarship luncheon hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Director Cynthia Mudge said, “A lot of the kids who sent in applications for scholarships, mentioned starting their college (careers) at Centralia College and jump starting business and the start of their next phase in life which is such an exciting time.” Centralia College President Bob Morbacher presented the keynote address to the graduates and their families in attendance. He suggested that the students focus on three areas. Morbacher said, “Expect surprises because life seldom goes the way that you planned, say yes to opportunities because the more things you participate in, the more you learn, the more people you get to know which makes your network broader, and finally have intellectual curiosity.” “The best tool to have is an open mind”, he added. Awarded scholarships were Austin Ulrigg, Evie Rooklidge, Annarazelle Garcia, Taylor Shipp, Claire Kuykendall, Alyssa Davis, Esmeralda Gaspar, Kate Alexander, Amelia Etue, Logan Moore, Gideon Priest and Cassandra Franco.
