CENTRALIA – Centralia Police in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad, is investigating an explosion involving an ATM at the First Security Bank in Centralia located at 604 S. Tower Ave. The explosion was caused by an unknown improvised explosive device that two (2) suspects used to gain entry into the ATM. After the explosion, the suspects took the contents of the ATM and fled the area in their vehicle. Some of the money recovered at the scene had burned edges. One of the two suspects was positively identified as 39 year old Ryan Moulder of Olympia. A warrant was issued for Moulder’s arrest out of Lewis County Superior Court. Moulder was located at a residence in rural Olympia and he was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Centralia Police Department Detectives with the assistance of JNET detectives, TNT detectives and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. Police Sgt. Dave Clary says this is an ongoing investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
