ATMOSPHERIC RIVER SYSTEM CAUSES LOCAL RIVERS TO HIT FLOOD STAGE

CHEHALIS – The Newaukum River at Chehalis has hit flood stage of 202.5 feet and is expected to rise through Friday before receding Saturday. A flood watch remains on the Cowlitz River at Randle and Packwood. Check local river forecasts: https://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/rfc/ Lewis County Emergency Management has self-serve sandbag stations open at 350 W. Main St., in Chehalis, the brick garage at Main St. and SW Cascade and the Law and Justice Center parking lot.
