CHEHALIS – Former two term Lewis County Commissioner Lee Grose has been chosen to fulfill the remaining year on late Commissioner Gary stamper’s term in office. The unanimous decision to pick Grose came yesterday during a meeting from Lewis County Commissioners Lindsey Pollock and Sean Swope. The commissioners had deliberated the qualifications of three finalists named by Lewis County Republican precinct committee officers. Citing Grose’s experience as a former county commissioner, Commissioner Pollock says, “People of the third district deserve someone actively representing them and up to speed as possible immediately.” Commissioner Swope appreciated all that the three finalists presented in their interest to serve the county, and  added, “In the end it was Lee Grose’s experience and understanding of the current opportunities and challenges of the county.” Grose had served as Lewis County Commissioner for eight years through 2014, when he decided not to run for re-election and  late Commissioner Stamper was elected. Grose says he will not run for re-election next year, allowing voters to chose who they want to represent them. Grose will be sworn into office on November 17.
