CENTRALIA – Many people face daily challenges and life struggles. For 23 students at Centralia Futurus High School, perseverance has led to personal and educational accomplishments. All of that was on display Tuesday night when the students graduated with high honors. Futurus High School Principal James Bowers says the graduates succeeded in a program that “is academically focused with a vocational aspect coming from the New Market Skills Center to a Running Start course. I have students graduating with an automotive certification and two students have gotten their CNA or nursing assistance degrees through Centralia College.” Bowers says, “It’s important to build relationships with students that come to us with any “ace” in their enviroinment and in their lives and the next thing you know is you’re seeing their success with us, realizing I can do this.” The Centralia Community Church of God hosted the graduation ceremony.
